Your First Watch Face #

This is the most important section in the quickstart. It’s recommended that you follow it step by step.

• Create your first watch face

  • In the console, click "New watch face" or a similar entry point.
  • Give the project a name (for example: My First Wristo Watchface).

• Choose device and resolution

  • Select a target device from the list of supported devices (such as a specific Garmin model).
  • The corresponding resolution will be filled in automatically, and you can configure multi-resolution support later if needed.

• Use a template vs. start from scratch

  • Using a template:
    • Great for first-time users to quickly understand layout and components.
    • Choose a template close to your desired style and simply replace images and colors.
  • Starting from scratch:
    • Suitable for users with a mature design plan or strong design experience.
    • Plan your own grid, layout, and information hierarchy.

• Save and preview

  • After completing the basic design in the editor, click "Save".
  • Use the built-in preview to see how the watch face looks on the target device.
  • It’s recommended to preview after every key change to avoid rework later.
